Pakistan Association for the Advancement of Science (PAAS) is a scientific organization based in Pakistan. Headquartered in Lahore, the organization was founded in December 1947, soon after the independence of Pakistan, and is among the oldest and premier science organizations in the country. Its aim is the promotion and development of science in the country, as well as to provide a forum for scientific meetings and to facilitate the publication of scientific research papers. The establishment of this premier scientific association in the country has been a landmark for the promotion of science in Pakistan. The Pakistan Association for the Advancement of Science has published the following journals: Pakistan Journal of Science (PJS) and Pakistan Journal of Scientific Research (PJOSR).

    Pakistan Journal of Scientific Research (PJOSR) is a peer-reviewed, scientific and technical journal owned and published by the Pakistan Association for the Advancement of Science, Lahore, Pakistan. PJOSR publishes high-quality original scientific articles dealing with the use of analytic and quantitative tools for modelling, analysis, design and engineering management in Engineering and Technology.

    Pakistan Journal of Science (PJS) is a peer-reviewed, scientific and technical journal owned and published by the Pakistan Association for the Advancement of Science, Lahore, Pakistan. The Pakistan Journal of Science (PJS) is a multidisciplinary journal publishing quality articles in the natural sciences covering a variety of topics in science and technology. PJS aims to bring together researchers, students, scientists and academicians from all over the world who work skillfully to improve the status of humanity by their philosophies and research potential. PJS encourages the research and development of state-of-the-art technology through quality research and practices. All research and review articles are pre-reviewed by reviewers from within Pakistan and abroad, editors, senior editor and Editor-in-Chief, and if appropriate, sent for blind peer review. PJS is an open-access journal that publishes papers in English. The submitted papers are available freely with online full-text content upon receiving the final versions, and are indexed at major academic databases.
